Huge+
I love UBM but whomever does the sizing for women needs to be fired or at least retrained. The fabric is nice and the style is great (hence the two stars instead of one) and that’s the end of the pros. The fit/shape/cut are clearly for men — the size small I bought has such huge broad shoulders and long arms that it’s comical. To say it has room to layer is hilarious; I could probably ‘layer' two pair of down ski overalls and a down vest under it. In the backpacking community when a pack is obviously designed for men but disingenuously claims to be made specifically for women, it’s derisively called 'shrink and pink'. Sadly, that seems to be the situation for far, far too many items at UMB. I’ve reviewed a number of other pieces that have the same problems. Also, this one has a cheap plastic buckle with no holes in the belt so you have no choice but to tie the belt. Not a deal breaker but not what you expect for an $800 coat. For reference 5’4” 112# usual size at UBM runs from XS to L: there is absolutely no consistency. Returned the same day as it arrived.

Excellent quality trench
I’ve been looking for a good trench coat for a while, and I’m so glad Unbound came out with this! The camel is the perfect brown. I love the weight of this, along with the interior pockets. The side slit pockets (for easy pants-pocket access) still throw me off sometimes, but they do come in handy!
A note on sizing: I’m usually always an XL in Unbound women’s clothing (I’m a US 14/16), but I was swimming in the XL of this! I returned for a Large, and that still fits quite generously. And it’s long on me (I’m 5’4) but I still love it.

Every Merino wool fiber has a waxy coating called Lanolin, which helps wick moisture away from your body, and act as a safeguard against odor-causing bacteria. This is what allows our Merino to stay breathable and dry while smelling and feeling fresh, no matter what you put it through.

Softer Than Cotton

This wool isn’t like your typical itchy sweater. We only use superfine (21.0 micron) Merino wool, resulting in a luxuriously silky soft feel that’s lighter and more plush than your average Merino or cotton. And unlike most clothes, it'll also maintain its form over time and won’t get ruined after a wash.

Easy care

Your trench coat rarely needs a wash. However, when it comes time for a refresh, simply dry-clean it at your convenience.
