SOFTER THAN COTTON
This wool isn’t like your typical itchy sweater. We only use superfine (19.5 micron) Merino wool, resulting in a luxurious, silky soft feel that’s lighter and plusher than your average Merino or cotton. And unlike most clothes these days, it'll also maintain its form over time and won't get ruined after a wash.

EASY CARE

I just received these crew socks to try. My first impression is that these socks are “Goldilocks” just-right, but I am concerned about durability due to a few negative reviews. I will post another review in a few months if I experience issues.
Full-disclosure, I am an Unbound fan-boy. I pretty much have worn an Unbound t-shirt everyday for the past 4 years. That said, not every product is a winner and I assumed that the Unbound socks would fall into the yet-another / me too category. Here are my observations:
1) Every human should wear merino wool socks every day for every use case. The hype is the reality. Breathability, temperature modulation, odor control, easy hand wash, travel friendly, etc. The only question is which product.. Darn Tough is the gold standard brand in the US market, so let’s compare to that standard.
2) The Unbound socks are cleverly thicker than Darn Tough’s thin socks and thinner than their thick socks. But, they do have a cushioned sole and heel, and a thinner vented upper. These are functional, not just fashion. While I might not choose these socks for a hike up Half Dome, you could do it. But you could also wear these socks to a funeral in dress shoes and a suit. They nailed the versatility.
3) Simple choices, black or grey. Goes with anything. Most Darn Tough socks have some sort of fancy graphics - like a 90’s era class-A motorhome. It limits use to casual wear. Plain means it always works, so these socks are…
